Long-Term Care Programs
For Employees in the VRS Plan 1 and the VRS Plan 2
Long-term care programs provide help with everyday life tasks because of a prolonged health problem or following a major illness, injury or surgery. VRS administers the Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP) Long-Term Care Plan and the Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) Voluntary Group Long Term Care Insurance Program.
VSDP Long-Term Care Plan (State Employees)
Employer-paid program for state employees covered under the Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP).
COV Voluntary Group Long Term Care Insurance Program
Employee-paid program for state employees and for employees of school divisions and political subdivisions that have elected to offer the program, and select family members.
